Abstract
Objective : This study is purposed to reveal the psychological well-being, self-esteem and satisfaction on life between the elderly who lives along and who lives with family and to provide the basic information to the healthy life of the elderly.

Methods : The queries were made for 80 old men and women aged over 65 respectively 40 old men and women who live alone and 40 old men and women who live with family. The questionnaire scales of Psychological Well-Being Scale(PWBS), Self Esteem Scale(SES) and Satisfaction on life were adopted. The frequency analysis and independent t-test were performed by using SPSS 18.0 Version for result analysis.

Results : The study result displayed that the scores for all of Psychological Well-Being Scale(PWBS), Self Esteem Scale(SES) and Satisfaction on life were higher for the elderly who lives with family than without family and it was significantly different in statistics.

Conclusion : It was known from this study result that the psychological and emotional vulnerability more evident in the elderly who live alone than the elderly who live with family. It is suggested from this result that health program should be developed in consideration of the various emotional characteristics of the elderly in the future.
